Scoliosis Screening and Assessment Workshop

Rosemary Marchese, a highly recognised physiotherapist in the world of scoliosis, is running a fabulous workshop on Scoliosis Screening and Assessment for physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths. In this workshop she will cover:

  1. The pathomechanism of scoliosis
  2. Screening for scoliosis, including how to measure a client and their X-Rays
  3. How to do a more thorough scoliosis assessment and action steps beyond that.

Rosemary has travelled the world extensively to learn about the Schroth and SEAS (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis) methods. She is a member of SOSORT (The International Society of Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment) and is on the Organising Committee for the upcoming SOSORT conference in 2020.  She has completed her World Masters in the Principles and Practices of Scoliosis Conservative Treatment. She has travelled to New York twice, San Francisco, Dubrovnik, Milan and Barcelona to learn amongst the world’s best. You are welcome to bring your own patient questions for question time as well, and she will do her best to support your treatment of the patient.

The aim of this workshop is to empower allied health professionals to make better decisions when it comes to scoliosis assessment and treatment options. Rosemary realised years ago that training in this area in Australia was limited. Her goal is to spread the learning so that more health professionals know the international guidelines for scoliosis to better help patients.

This workshop will be different from our 2019 seminars. This workshop will involve practical examples and updating of skills to make sure any patient with scoliosis is not missed and the right action is taken.

Date: Thursday 19th March 2020, 7-9pm at Schroth Scoliosis Physiotherapy Clinic
